Clear Aligners in Las Vegas

Clear aligners use a planned series of removable trays to move teeth gradually. At Avocabo Dental & Orthodontics, Dr. Camy Kwok evaluates the teeth, bite, jaws, oral health, goals, and ability to follow wear instructions before recommending aligners.

What Does Clear Aligners Involve?

Each custom tray applies controlled pressure to selected teeth before the patient advances to the next stage. Attachments, elastics, refinements, or other treatment may be needed depending on the movements and bite correction planned.

Who May Benefit?

Teens and adults with selected crowding, spacing, or bite concerns who can wear and care for trays consistently may benefit. Complexity, growth, missing teeth, gum health, restorations, and compliance can make braces or another approach more appropriate.

An in-person evaluation is required before Dr. Camy Kwok can recommend care for an individual patient.

What Can Patients Expect?

Step 1

Orthodontic records

The evaluation may include photographs, digital scans, and diagnostic imaging.

Step 2

Staged treatment

Planned tooth movements are translated into a series of trays and supporting instructions.

Step 3

Monitor and retain

Visits assess tracking and needed refinements; retainers are generally used after active movement.

Potential Benefits

  • More discreet appearance than fixed metal braces
  • Removable for meals and oral hygiene care
  • Digital planning can help explain proposed stages

Limitations and Considerations

  • Success depends heavily on consistent daily wear
  • Not every movement or bite problem is best treated with aligners alone
  • Attachments, elastics, refinements, or a change in approach may be required

What Alternatives May Be Considered?

Traditional, ceramic, or sapphire brackets and other orthodontic appliances may be considered. No option is right for everyone, and a digital simulation does not guarantee the final result.

Comfort, Recovery, and Aftercare

Temporary pressure or soreness can occur when starting a new tray. Remove aligners for meals and drinks other than water, clean teeth before reinsertion, store trays in their case, and follow wear and cleaning instructions.

When Should You Contact Our Office?

Contact us if a tray is lost, cracks, has a sharp edge, no longer fits, or causes severe or persistent discomfort. Use the orthodontic emergency guidance for urgent appliance concerns.
