Technology for pediatric and orthodontic care in Las Vegas
Within pediatric dental and orthodontic care, a soft-tissue laser may be used to remove or reshape selected gum or oral tissue.

The laser delivers controlled energy to a targeted soft-tissue area. It may be considered for selected pediatric frenectomy procedures or orthodontic gum-contouring and tooth-exposure procedures.
Pediatric dental patients and orthodontic patients of any age may benefit when a selected soft-tissue procedure falls within Avocabo's pediatric or orthodontic scope.
An in-person evaluation is required before Dr. Camy Kwok can recommend care for an individual patient.
Step 1
The tissue, underlying anatomy, health history, and treatment objective are reviewed.
Step 2
The area is managed with appropriate anesthesia, protective eyewear is used, and selected tissue is treated.
Step 3
The patient receives site-specific care instructions and follow-up when needed.
A scalpel, another surgical instrument, observation, referral, or a different procedure may be more appropriate. If supporting bone affects the concern, soft-tissue treatment alone may not be sufficient. Periodontal, restorative, or other procedures outside that scope are referred to an appropriate outside dentist or specialist.
The area may be tender during healing. Follow instructions for diet, brushing, rinsing, activity, and medication, and avoid disturbing the treated site.
Call for bleeding that does not stop as instructed, fever, increasing swelling, drainage, severe pain, breathing or swallowing difficulty, or another unexpected healing concern.
